Empty shells

Giving up is an admitted failure, an admitted defeat. It's what we would call "the easy way out". On the other hand, striving on fervently is admitting the intricacies there are or could be, but also acknowledging the attainability of a seemingly far-fetched and tough goal; a rougher, hardly passable path which, however, one is still capable to benefit from, whether a hard fall is experienced or success is obtained.

Easy to say, much harder to do. But a towel that's thrown in is a lose-lose situation which one gets himself into. Trying has never done any harm, once convinced of the rightness of what you feverishly wish for... because anything that's worth anything had never ever been easily achieved. Have you ever heard of a priceless treasure which no single drop of blood or sweat hadn't been shed for?... As the saying goes, no fruits will ripen when there is no labor done.

Who said the latter path/way is impassable? Most of the existent limits are merely made up in our minds, albeit not all of them, as human beings. Our thinking is restricted. If no way is found, then a way shall be made... with luck, faith, hope and a splash of zealousness, ardor and hard-work, since only one's own self is the biggest hindrance that could ever exist.

... So looking at the mirror profoundly, one should first of all tell himself in earnest what is really preferred ... and then show the world that whatever one may have decided for himself, isn't only a bunch of phrases teeming with empty promises and intent; words wrapped in empty shells.

P.S: this song always manages to cheer me up. Open Happiness!
